Your employer enters personal information related to your employment, such as name, contact details, role, department
You or your employer enter details of your competency requirements, training you have undergone and qualifications you have been awarded.
How will your data be used?
Poseidon Software Solutions Ltd is a Data Processor as defined by the UK General Data Protection Regulations.
Poseidon Software Solutions Ltd collects your data so that your employer can track your training and competencies for the benefit of you and your employer.
How will your data be stored?
Depending upon how your organisation has decided to implement the application, your data will be stored in one of the following ways:
Provider Storage. If your organisation has decided that Poseidon Software Solutions Ltd will be implementing your data storage, it will be securely stored on Microsoft Azure servers, located in the UK. Poseidon Software Solutions Ltd will keep your data until your employer instructs us to delete it or your organisation ceases to use the application.
Vendor Storage. If your organisation has decided that the application is to reside on their ‘in-house’ servers, your data will be securely stored on servers within your organisation and Poseidon Software Solutions Ltd will not be responsible for the protection of your data. However, it may be necessary for Poseidon Software Solutions Ltd to access your data in order to provide support for the application. On such occasions, Poseidon Software Solutions Ltd will delete your data on completion of the maintenance activity.
It should be noted that, in order to provide historic evidence of your competency compliance, your organisation may retain your data after your employment has ceased.
Marketing
Poseidon Software Solutions Ltd will not use your data for any marketing purposes.

Poseidon Software Ltd and your employer would like to make sure you are fully aware of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request your employer for copies of your personal data. Your employer has the right to charge you a small fee for this service.
